"Only Telangana with capital Hyderabad acceptable: TRS"
Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhara Rao today asserted that the people of Telangana would not accept anything short of a separate state with Hyderabad as its capital.

"People of Telangana are not ready to accept anything short of Telangana with Hyderabad as its capital," Rao said reacting to the report of the Srikrishna committee which was made public today.

Rao said the Srikrishna committee recommended the constitution of a regional authority for the development of Telangana which reflected that the experiment of Andhra Pradesh has failed.

"I earnestly appeal to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh not to dilly-dally on Telangana and come forward and fulfil the promise given on December 9, 2009 for formation of a separate Telangana," he said.

The TRS chief also made it clear that Hyderabad was part of Telangana and people of Telangana was not ready to lose it.
